Job Description
U.S. Bank’s Institutional Client Group (ICG) provides customized service to clients, focusing on capital markets, credit, payables, receivables, liquidity, and investments. The team supports middle market and corporate companies in achieving their financial and operational goals.
We are seeking an experienced Relationship Manager for our Technology, Media & Telecom group. The role involves managing a complex portfolio of loans, prospecting new business, and retaining and expanding relationships with existing customers. The Relationship Manager will sell appropriate bank products and manage referrals, with a focus on large, highly complex client relationships, loan and deposit growth, and fee income.
Salary
Base pay usually falls within $200,000 to $300,000. Additional compensation considerations depend on qualifications.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field
Typically 10 or more years of banking experience
Preferred Skills & Experience
Expertise in the technology sector
Strong sales management and business development skills with a track record of new client acquisition
Experience managing and growing large corporate client portfolios
Ability to build credibility with internal stakeholders (portfolio management, credit risk, product partners)
Knowledge of bank loan markets and comfort with credit underwriting
Familiarity with traditional bank products (treasury management, corporate card/payables, capital markets, trust and custody)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Well-developed analytical, decision‑making and problem‑solving skillsFINRA Series 79 or 63 licensure
Location
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
