Job Summary
The Graphic Designer I supports the University of Texas at Arlington’s Division of Student Affairs by creating compelling, student-centered visual content that enhances communication, engagement, and brand consistency. Salary
The annual salary for this position ranges from $38,000 – $45,000. The final offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency and experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and knowledge of Canva.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing for social media and digital marketing campaigns.
Familiarity and experience with motion graphics, video editing, or tools such as After Effects or Premiere Pro.
Experience working in a higher education or student-focused environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Design and produce a wide range of visual materials, including digital graphics, social media assets, flyers, posters, brochures, presentations, and web graphics.
Collaborate with marketing team members and Student Affairs departments to translate concepts into visually engaging designs.
Assist in photography, videography, and media preparation for events as needed.
Develop design templates to support the Division of Student Affairs.
Stay current on design trends, tools, and best practices, particularly in higher education marketing.
Other duties as assigned.
