KBTX Media operates the CBS and CW affiliates in Bryan‑College Station, Texas, serving an 18‑county area known as the Brazos Valley. KBTX is looking for an innovative newscast producer and digital content specialist to join our award‑winning team. We’re looking for a producer who lives for urgent, impactful coverage of what’s new, now, and next, and excels in breaking news and weather situations. Equally, qualified candidates will excel in producing and showcasing digital and streaming content for a distributed audience.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Researching, writing, and editing daily content for television and web platforms

Producing quality, accurate content that resonates with key demographics

Identifying the day’s most important stories and sourcing materials relevant to your audience on both broadcast and digital platforms

Working with management and staff to generate stories and content

Meeting daily deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Planning and timing show to meet ratings goals

Qualifications/Requirements

Candidates should also exhibit a good work ethic, strong people skills, the ability to be a team player, and must maintain a professional attitude at all times. This position requires availability to work weekends and may require holiday work.

At least two years of experience in a TV newsroom, as well as a college degree in broadcast journalism or a related field, is preferred.

Experience with ENPS, Grass Valley EDIUS, or BitCentral Oasis is a big plus.
