Audio Visual Support Technician

CPS Energy is seeking an Audio Visual Support Technician to provide installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for enterprise audio visual systems, multifunctional printers, desktop and mobile computing devices, and conferencing technologies. This role supports CPS Energy Board of Trustee meetings, public outreach events, corporate communications initiatives, and internal business operations by ensuring reliable technology performance across various environments.
The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience supporting audio visual equipment, multifunctional printers, and end-user technology while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced support environment. This position requires flexibility to support after-hours events and participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities

Support CPS Energy Board meetings, corporate events, public relations activities, and onsite or remote meetings.
Install, configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain audio visual equipment including projectors, mixers, microphones, speakers, LCD/LED displays, and PA systems.
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for audio visual systems, desktop computers, laptops, multifunctional printers, scanners, plotters, mobile devices, and conferencing technologies.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on multifunctional printers, plotters, and scanners.
Coordinate delivery, installation, relocation, and deployment of technology equipment with internal teams and external vendors.
Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, end-user training materials, and support procedures.
Provide end-user training and technical guidance on supported technologies.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased operational efficiency.
Prioritize and manage daily support requests and project assignments.
Maintain current technical knowledge through independent research, training, and industry conferences.
Participate in after-hours event support and on-call support rotation as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience supporting and maintaining audio visual equipment including LCD/LED displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, and PA systems.
Experience supporting multifunctional printers, scanners, and plotters.
Familiarity with Tiered IT Support environments.
Basic understanding of PC networking concepts and Windows Active Directory.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and customer service skills.
Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications

Associate's Degree or higher.
CompTIA A+ Certification.
CompTIA Network+ Certification.
Knowledge of audio visual technologies and enterprise AV support environments.
Experience supporting reprographics and print management technologies.
