Position: Marching Band Assistant Director - Part-Time (Posting number 2627-3774)

Location: Secondary Schools

Date: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027

We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:

Experience working with a competitive high school marching band season is essential.

Candidates must possess strong organizational, leadership, intrapersonal and communication skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

Assist with planning and teaching facets of a competitive marching field band program, to potentially include: winds, percussion, auxiliary

Help recruit and cultivate strong student participation

Promote the Marching Band, both in the district and in the greater community under the guidance of the Marching Band Director

Monitor and uphold the district's eligibility policy as it applies to participation in the Marching Band

With guidance by the Marching Band Director, work closely with parent volunteers and the booster organization

Help facilitate collaborative relationships with district music teachers

Assume other duties as assigned by the Marching Band Director

Experience working with a competitive high school marching band season essential.

Salary: As per current WTA Contract based on education and experience
