Sound Design & Creation

Design and implement a wide range of sound effects to enhance the emotional impact and realism of our narrative content, including ambiences, hard effects, and creative sound design elements
Record and edit Foley to sync with on-screen action, ensuring subtle, realistic sounds are captured and integrated seamlessly
Clean up and edit dialogue tracks to remove background noise, improve clarity, and ensure consistency across all scenes
Collaborate with the editorial team, directors, and composers to understand the creative vision and translate it into a compelling auditory experience
Mixing & Mastering

Perform final audio mixes for all projects, balancing dialogue, music, sound effects, and Foley to create a cohesive and professional final product
Ensure all mixes meet broadcast loudness standards and technical specifications for various distribution platforms when needed
Conduct quality control checks on all delivered audio, confirming all tracks are properly synced, free of errors, and consistent in quality
Workflow & Management

Manage audio assets and project files, ensuring all sessions are organized, archived, and easy to access for future use or revisions
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio software, hardware, and file formats
Report on department metrics such as mix volume and common technical challenges to help the post-production team make informed operational decisions
Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in audio post-production.
Qualifications

Experience in a high-volume content creation environment, preferably with scripted narrative content.
Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, Film, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Sound Designer, Audio Mixer, or similar role in a fast-paced production setting.
Expert-level proficiency with a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, or Adobe Audition.
Strong understanding of audio signal flow, acoustics, and mixing techniques.
Proficiency with industry-standard audio plugins for EQ, compression, noise reduction, and reverb.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate creative and technical concepts.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
A proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic.
A passion for storytelling through sound.
Experience with advanced noise reduction software (e.g., iZotope RX).
Bonus: Experience with spatial audio formats like Dolby Atmos.
A portfolio or reel showcasing your work on past projects.
The Sound Designer/Mixer will report directly to the Head of Post-production. This is an Individual Contributor Position with no direct reports. You are expected to work collaboratively with our post-production and creative teams.
