Anomaly DJ & Photo is looking for dependable, outgoing individuals who want to break into the wedding and event industry. This position is designed for people who are interested in learning the skills needed to become a professional wedding and event DJ.

As a DJ Assistant, youll work alongside experienced DJs at weddings, corporate events, and private parties. Youll help with setup, breakdown, event coordination, guest interaction, and learn the behind-the-scenes skills that go into creating an unforgettable event experience.

This is not an overnight path to becoming a DJ. We are looking for people who are committed to learning, growing, and earning the opportunity to lead events on their own.
Responsibilities

Assist Lead DJs with event setup and breakdown

Load, transport, and unload equipment

Help maintain event timelines and coordination

Interact professionally with clients, guests, and venue staff

Learn event flow, microphone techniques, music programming, and crowd engagement

Support the Lead DJ throughout the event

Represent the company professionally at all times
Requirements

Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license

Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 75 lbs

Strong communication and customer service skills

Comfortable speaking with guests and event vendors

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Dependable and punctual

Must be available Fridays and weekends
Compensation & Growth Opportunities

Starting pay: $100 per event

Paid, hands-on training alongside experienced DJs

Opportunity to advance into higher-level roles as skills develop

Lead DJs earn up to $500+ per event

Becoming a Lead DJ takes time, dedication, and consistent performance. Most successful candidates spend months learning event operations, music programming, MC skills, and client communication before leading events independently. This role is best suited for someone looking to develop a long-term skillset rather than earn immediate DJ-level pay.
