This is a design leader who understands how to evolve - not reinvent - a brand. This individual will have a strong eye for interpreting best-selling styles and programs and transforming proven successes into refreshed, relevant designs that resonate with today's customer. The focus is on building consistency and longevity while maintaining brand integrity and ensuring each season feels refreshed, current and saleable.Responsibilities:Define and lead the seasonal apparel product design vision, ensuring creative direction aligns with brand DNA and long-term positioning.Analyze best-selling styles and programs. Translate those business-driven insights into trend-relevant iterations that drive continued growth.Lead, mentor, and motivate the Design/Product Development team.Maintain a cohesive brand aesthetic across collections - elevating and modernizing without overhauling the brand identity each season.Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Sourcing, TD and factory partners and deliver well thought-out designs for optimal efficiency in execution. Hit all milestones.Communicate a concise, executable vision with cross-functional teams and vendors to avoid re-work and identify and solve issues early.Develop, guide and inspire the team to deliver quality brand-right products that connects with the customer.Stay attuned to industry, retail and cultural trends to inform design evolution.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:10+ years' experience in Apparel Design. Technical background a plus.5+ years' leadership experience preferred.Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent preferred.Confident, independent leader who partners with CMO and VP Merchandising/Design primarily, and PLM's regularly.Ability to be a hands-on and strategic leader.Strong design skills and ability to move the brand forward in step with the customer.Strong color and print aesthetic.Clear communicator with effective presentation skills.Ability to focus a team and establish team partnerships across functions.Detail-oriented.Meet deadlines, ability to prioritize, adapt to change. Composed under pressure.Proficient in applicable software (PLM, Office, Illustrator, Adobe).Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English.
