Job Description
REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s Degree;

Valid Texas Teacher’s Certificate or enrollment in an Alternative CertificationProgram or equivalent.

PREFERRED:

Knowledge of State and UIL policies governing music education.

The Assistant Band Director - Woodwinds will teach ensemble classes, conduct a Concert Band and be held accountable for assigned instructional duties. The Assistant Band Director - Woodwinds will assist the Head Band Director with extra‑curricular events including concerts, football games, pep rallies, parades, TMEA and UIL activities. The Assistant Band Director - Woodwinds will assist the Head Band Director with all paperwork as well as instructional duties as assigned to provide the best music education possible for the students of BISD.
