Ascend has recently acquired ACTS (Augmentative Communication & Technology Services), a well‑established San Francisco Bay Area AAC practice specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication services and assistive technology support for pediatric populations. As we continue expanding our AAC services, we are currently hiring an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Specialist / Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) for an in‑person position. We are open to both full‑time and part‑time candidates.
This role is ideal for an SLP with experience or strong interest in AAC evaluations, speech generating devices (SGDs), assistive technology, autism support, and complex communication needs. Experience with AAC platforms such as Tobii Dynavox, TouchChat, LAMP Words for Life, Proloquo2Go, and other communication systems is highly valued.

REQUIREMENTS
Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' communication needs and abilities.
Develop and implement individualized AAC plans tailored to each patient's requirements.
Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support students in school settings.
Provide training and support to families and caregivers on AAC device usage.
Stay updated on advancements in speech therapy and AAC technologies to enhance patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP)
AAC related coursework/ experience
Must have a CA State SLP License
Proven experience in AAC assessment
Prior school‑based SLP experience is a plus!
