Senior Brand & Creative Motion Designer

We're looking for a Senior Brand & Creative Motion Designer to bring tem's brand to life through motion - from campaign films and product stories, to social systems and micro-interactions.
This is a senior individual contributor role: you'll be hands-on, owning delivery end-to-end across multiple motion workstreams, with minimal guidance. You'll help us move faster, build a distinctive motion language, and raise the bar on how we tell stories — knowing when to be bold and emotionally led, and when to be informative, considered, and clear.
You'll combine strong craft with an AI-first mindset, using modern tools to accelerate ideation, iteration, and production.
Responsibilities:

Build tem's motion language: Define and evolve a clear, flexible motion system (principles, pacing, transitions, typography in motion, templates) that makes the brand instantly recognisable across channels.

Deliver standout motion work end-to-end: Own motion design from concept through final delivery across campaigns, social, web, product moments, events, and internal comms.

Tell stories that land: Translate complex ideas (energy, markets, product) into motion narratives that are emotionally resonant and easy to understand.

Set a high bar for craft & consistency: Maintain a consistently excellent standard across all outputs, and improve quality through reusable components, templates, and clear creative guidance.

Operate with IC3 execution: Independently plan and deliver non-routine work, lead varied projects with end-to-end responsibility, and reliably ship on time to an exceptional standard — comfortable operating in ambiguity and taking smart risks.

AI-first motion workflows: Integrate AI tools to accelerate research, storyboarding, style exploration, animatics, and production — without compromising taste or brand integrity.

Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner closely with Brand, Product, Growth, and Content to make sure motion work supports business outcomes (awareness, understanding, adoption).

Requirements:

Must-Haves:
Strong motion portfolio: Evidence of exceptional craft across motion design — including storytelling, typography, composition, and pacing.

Senior IC3-level execution: Proven ability to independently deliver varied projects end-to-end, handle ambiguity, and consistently meet commitments with minimal guidance.

Brand-first thinking: Ability to translate a brand strategy into motion principles and repeatable systems, while flexing for different audiences and contexts.

Story + clarity: Comfortable turning complex or technical content into motion that is engaging, clear, and emotionally intelligent.

AI-first mindset: Practical experience using AI to speed up ideation/production (e.g., exploration, reference generation, rough animatics, scripting assistance).

Fast-moving environment experience: Background in startups/scale-ups or similar where pace is high, priorities move, and you maintain a high quality bar.

Really Desirable:
After Effects + modern toolchain: High proficiency in AE plus supporting tools (Cinema 4D/Blender a plus, but not required).

Editing & sound sensibility: Comfort with timing, rhythm, and basic sound/VO handling to make pieces feel finished.

Web motion: Ability to translate motion thinking into web contexts (e.g., Lottie/Rive or close collaboration with devs).

Tracking impact: Ability to connect motion outputs to performance signals (e.g., engagement, completion rate, conversion) and iterate accordingly.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities, including those that are traditionally underrepresented in the tech and energy sectors. If you're excited about this role but not sure you meet every requirement, we'd still love to hear from you. Your unique perspective could be exactly what we're looking for.
