Position Overview
This entry‑level professional role focuses on media communications, marketing, and analytics. The incumbent will support the School of Business’s Admissions, Recruitment, Academic Affairs, and Career Services teams by creating strategic communication initiatives, producing high‑quality visual assets, and managing digital platforms to engage prospective students and employers.
Key Responsibilities
Draft simple news releases, routine statements, and brief articles.
Design and edit educational materials such as program guides, fact sheets, and brochures.
Develop and manage a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok).
Create and schedule engaging content, including text, images, and videos.
Produce high‑quality visual assets through photography, videography, and editing using tools such as Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Canva, and CapCut.
Track, analyze, and report on the performance of social media, email, and website initiatives, providing actionable insights.
Collaborate closely with Admissions, Recruitment, Academic Affairs, and Career Services to develop marketing materials that support program goals.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information.
Requirements
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
Experience Requirements
0–1 year of related experience; 6 months in higher education is preferred.
Minimum Requirements
Basic knowledge of news and media communications concepts.
Basic social media and electronic communication skills.
Basic written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills.
Basic organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Political acumen and adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the School of Business’s mission, programs, and branding.
Proven experience in digital marketing, including social media management, email marketing, and website content management.
Proficiency with graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Salesforce/TargetX.
Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal).
Understanding of SEO best practices.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and strong editing abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
