Position Overview
Innoruptiv is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to manage and execute social media for our theatre clients across social platforms. This role covers the full production cycle, from content planning and creation to community management and performance reporting for mainstage shows running July through April.
This is a flexible, part-time Coordinator role ideal for a social-savvy creative who thrives in the arts and entertainment space and can work independently while collaborating closely with our team and client contacts.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Scheduling
Develop and execute a minimum of 4 platform-optimized posts per week (ranging up to 7 per week during peak periods), tailored for Instagram and Facebook
Write compelling captions with appropriate hashtags and tags for each post
Create graphics using Canva and/or Adobe; incorporate client-provided photos, videos, and creative assets as appropriate
Produce Reels and/or Stories as relevant to each production and current platform trends
Occasionally incorporate client-supplied video content into the posting schedule
Content Planning & Client Communication
Build and submit weekly content calendars to the Agency and client for review and approval prior to scheduling
Manage one round of edits per content calendar based on client feedback
Maintain direct, timely communication with the client point of contact throughout the engagement
Account & Community Management
Manage Instagram and Facebook pages daily, centered around the posting schedule
Handle account upkeep including bio updates, link-in-bio management, and profile maintenance
Monitor and respond to comments, repost story mentions, and handle occasional DM interactions in a timely and on‑brand manner
Note: outreach and paid engagement initiatives are outside the scope of this role
On‑Site Content Capture
Attend a minimum of 3 on-site capture sessions per production, covering key milestones including:
First day of rehearsals
During second week of rehearsals
Opening week of performances
Ad‑hoc content tied to social trends or timely moments
Reporting & Analytics
Submit weekly performance reports to the Agency summarizing key engagement and reach metrics across both platforms
Flag notable trends, audience sentiment shifts, or emerging opportunities based on ongoing social listening
PR Amplification & Social Listening
Repost all earned media and press coverage across feed and stories to amplify the production's visibility
Initiate collaborations and tags with press outlets or partners when relevant
Conduct proactive social listening to track audience sentiment and surface trends that can inform content strategy
Qualifications
2+ years of experience managing social media accounts, preferably in an agency or entertainment context
Ability to edit and adapt video content into multiple formats and lengths for various platforms
Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt voice and tone across productions
Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe for graphics creation
Experience with Instagram and Facebook, including Reels, Stories, scheduling tools, and native analytics
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple content calendars and client timelines simultaneously
Strong communication skills and comfort interfacing directly with clients
Availability for on‑site content capture at key production milestones
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in theatre, performing arts, or live entertainment marketing
Basic photo or video editing skills in Adobe Suite.
Understanding of paid social basics, even if execution is outside scope of this role
