About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role We're seeking a communications professional to join our team and support external storytelling for Anthropic's products. Reporting into the Product Communications team, you'll partner closely with the product teams behind Claude, helping translate some of the most closely watched product work in AI into something people can understand and trust.
In this role, you'll help craft narratives that make Claude's capabilities accessible and meaningful to the developers and customers who use our products and the journalists and creators who write about them. You'll own communications for feature updates end to end, and provide support on model launches, and flagship product launches.
The ideal candidate should have strong proactive and reactive instincts, genuine curiosity about the products and the technology behind them, and the judgment to handle nuanced, fast‑moving topics. You should be able to move fast, think critically, and collaborate across a wide range of technical and non‑technical teams. You should know our products well enough to hold a real point of view on them, and treat customer feedback as something to surface back to the teams who can act on it.
Responsibilities Own communications for feature updates and launches end to end, and provide strong support on model launches and flagship product launches
Help surface the launches, demos, and capability stories worth telling, and support the team in finding the right channel for each
Help develop messaging and draft the materials that carry it — press releases, talking points, FAQs, blog posts, briefing docs — translating Claude's capabilities into something a user or journalist can actually grasp
Support relationships with the journalists, newsletter writers, podcasters, and creators shaping how people talk about AI
Help prepare product and research leaders to be effective spokespeople
Work across press, social, owned, and community channels, and develop a sense for which lever to pull for each moment
You may be a good fit if you Have 5–8 years of experience in communications or PR with experience at an AI company, research lab, or technical product company
Are a Claude user across our apps and have a clear sense of what's working and what isn't
Have experience supporting frontier model launches or technical product launches
Have existing relationships with reporters and creators covering AI
Have strong product instincts, and the judgment to read timing and tone when the conversation around AI gets noisy
Are a clear, concise writer across formats — press materials, messaging, briefing docs
Are highly online and fluent in where technical conversations happen, from developer forums to X to Hacker News
Are a collaborative team player who works well with others
