Role Overview
We’re seeking a Commercial Director (M&E) to lead commercial strategy, drive profitability, and strengthen client relationships for a major building services contractor based in Glasgow. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives on shaping commercial frameworks, negotiating high‑value contracts, and steering business growth across complex M&E projects.
Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership – Own the commercial strategy across all M&E projects, ensuring robust governance, risk management, and margin protection.
Contract Management – Lead negotiation and administration of NEC/JCT contracts, ensuring compliance and commercial clarity.
Business Growth – Identify new revenue opportunities, support bids, and strengthen market positioning.
Financial Oversight – Oversee cost planning, forecasting, and commercial reporting to board level.
Team Leadership – Mentor and develop a high‑performing commercial team across pre‑construction and delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal delivery teams.

About You

Proven experience as a senior commercial leader within the M&E contracting or building services sector.
Strong understanding of NEC/JCT contract frameworks.
Demonstrable success in profit optimisation, risk management, and commercial governance.
Confident communicator with the ability to influence at board level.
Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach to delivery.
