The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Attorney with 8+ years of law experience to provide strategic legal counsel and manage complex legal matters related to Forged Fiber's revenue‑generating commercial agreements, including ISP platform access agreements, HOA and MDU master service agreements, construction and maintenance contracts, and vendor and procurement arrangements. This is a highly visible role for an attorney who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment, works autonomously, and serves as a trusted advisor to senior and executive leaders.
What You'll Do
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Managing Complex Legal Matters: Oversee and manage complex legal projects related to the company's commercial transactions, including ISP platform access agreements, HOA and MDU master service agreements, construction and maintenance contracts, and vendor and procurement arrangements across the company's multi‑state footprint.
Providing Strategic Legal Counsel: Offer expert legal advice and guidance to senior leadership and company managers on a wide range of legal issues related to the company's revenue‑generating commercial relationships with ISPs, property owners, HOAs, MDU operators, and key vendors and service providers.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards governing commercial transactions and wholesale fiber network services. Implement risk management strategies to protect the organization's commercial interests across all operating jurisdictions.
Contract Review and Negotiation: Review, draft, and negotiate significant commercial legal documents, contracts, and agreements, including platform access agreements, master service agreements, construction contracts, maintenance agreements, right‑of‑way agreements, and vendor/procurement contracts to protect the organization's interests.
Dispute Management and Operational Support: Support disputes relating to Commercial Agreements, assist with contract management and transition of commercial relationships, and coordinate with legal operations on agreement database management and compliance tracking.
About You
A law degree and an active license in good standing to practice law
8+ years of related experience, with a strong background in commercial transactions, contract negotiation, and/or telecommunications or infrastructure‑related commercial agreements
Deep expertise in drafting and negotiating platform access agreements, master service agreements, construction and maintenance contracts, and vendor and procurement arrangements
Experience supporting disputes, diligence, and M&A integration activity as it relates to commercial agreement portfolios
Knowledge of wholesale fiber and telecommunications industry commercial practices and regulatory considerations is a plus
Experience supporting a multi‑state infrastructure or telecommunications footprint is preferred
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with competing priorities
Work Location

Compensation & Benefits
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary by location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
Base Salary Range: $158,200 - $237,400
This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and a long‑term incentive award.
