Responsibilities
Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of companies in the Utilities and Midstream sectors.
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models.
Conduct meetings with Retail & Consumer industry management teams.
Present analysis of companies to internal credit rating committees.
Communicate rating rationale to external audiences (institutional investors, sell‑side analysts, and media) through meetings, conference calls, press releases, and written research reports.
Write timely and effective research on topical issues.
Participate in the evaluation of other credits within Corporates and related credit groups.
Represent Fitch in panel discussions and conferences organized by industry associations and regulatory bodies.
Mentor junior members of the Utilities & Midstream sector.
Assume managerial responsibilities where required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree at minimum; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred.
5‑10 years of relevant experience, with coverage or knowledge of the Utilities and Midstream sectors preferred.
Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus.
Expertise in Excel and Word.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change.
Ability to excel in a team‑oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of and interest in the Utilities and Midstream industries.
Professional background in capital markets and/or credit analysis with strong financial statement analysis skills.
Desire to deepen exposure to the debt capital markets.
A strong pattern of leadership and proactive stakeholder engagement.

Compensation
Expected base pay between $140,000 and $180,000.
Additional compensation may include commissions, discretionary bonuses, long‑term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
