This role assembles footage according to approved scripts and show formats, ensuring accurate pacing, clean cuts, visual continuity, and consistent branding across episodes.Working within established templates and creative guidelines, the Video Editor maintains a consistent look and feel while delivering technically sound videos on deadline. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating within defined formats, values structure, and takes pride in producing clean, accurate edits that align precisely with production standards.What You'll DoEditorial ExecutionEdit episodes according to approved scripts, outlines, and established format templatesMaintain strict adherence to show style, pacing, and structural standardsEnsure visual continuity and clean timelines throughout the project lifecycleExecute revisions efficiently and accurately while maintaining project integrityScript & Visual AccuracyAlign edits precisely with approved scripts, narration, and production notesConfirm accuracy of lower thirds, graphics, archival footage, and on-screen textEnsure visual elements support and accurately reflect scripted contentCross-check factual elements and maintain internal consistency throughout each episodeTechnical ExcellenceDeliver clean, organized timelines ready for finishing, color, and audio mixMaintain proper track layouts, labeling conventions, and media organizationPrepare sequences for final finishing with minimal rework requiredFollow established network technical specifications, post-production workflows, and file standardsQuality ControlPerform detailed internal quality control checks prior to handoffIdentify and correct technical issues such as flash frames, sync errors, audio pops, incorrect graphics, or formatting inconsistenciesMaintain version control, naming conventions, and file integrity across editsWhat You Will Bring to the TableBachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience consideredDemonstrated professional experience editing scripted non-fiction or format-driven video contentExperience in digital series, documentary, or structured non-fiction episodic environments preferredAdvanced proficiency in Avid Media ComposerStrong understanding of broadcast, streaming, and VOD technical specificationsExceptional attention to detail and strong organizational disciplineAbility to execute work within established creative and editorial frameworksStrong time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlinesPreferred ExperienceExperience in documentary, true crime, or unscripted series with scripted narrationFamiliarity with network deliverables and post-production QC processesWorking knowledge of shared storage and collaborative post-production environmentsFlexibility to work occasional evening hours or weekend shifts when production timelines requireWhat Audiochuck Will Bring to the TableCommitment to intentional leadership developmentDedication to company culture and promoting mental healthA talented, collaborative team passionate about storytelling and advocacyOpportunity to contribute to high-impact content across multiple platformsCompetitive base salary and bonus incentives401(k) retirement plan with employer matchGenerous paid time offTeam events and company-sponsored activities#J-18808-Ljbffr
