Fiber Network Engineer/Designer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fiber Network Engineer/Coordinator based in Tucker, GA . This position offers the chance to play a key role in the design, planning, and coordination of a growing middle-mile fiber network supporting critical utility operations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between fiber engineering and network reliability , collaborating closely with both field teams and NOC operations .ResponsibilitiesPlan, design, and oversee fiber network infrastructure projectsMaintain and update fiber documentation, including GIS and AutoCAD designsCreate and manage splice plans and ensure network integrity and reliabilityCollaborate with engineering and operations teams on testing and implementationSupport construction and maintenance activities for OSP/ISP fiber systemsPerform occasional site visits and field testingQualificationsBachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems (preferred)5+ years of network design and GIS experience with fiber optic plantStrong background in AutoCAD, GIS, and fiber design standardsUTC Level 1 & 2 Fiber Optic Designer Certification (preferred)Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skillsMust pass NERC CIP personnel risk assessmentDetailsLocation: Tucker, GA (100% in-office)Pay Rate: $45–$55/hour (approx. $95K–$115K/year, depending on experience)Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (some flexibility)Assignment: 12-month minimum (potential for long-term extension)#J-18808-Ljbffr
