Director, Key Accounts- Southwest

As a Key Account Director at Pacira, you will drive strategic engagement and access for EXPAREL within major hospital systems and integrated delivery networks (IDNs), building relationships to ensure optimal formulary positioning and downstream utilization across affiliated sites of care.Responsibilities Strategic Engagement: Represent Pacira within assigned hospital systems and IDNs; engage executive leadership, pharmacy directors, and clinical decision‑makers to drive formulary access and product adoption.Clinical & Economic Messaging: Deliver compliant messaging on EXPAREL's clinical benefits, opioid‑sparing value, and health economic impact using approved materials and data models.Market Insight & Disease Expertise: Provide expertise on perioperative pain management trends, ERAS protocols, and market dynamics to inform customer strategy.Pull-Through Execution: Lead downstream activation across affiliated hospitals, ASCs, and outpatient sites to ensure consistent utilization and integration into care pathways.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Marketing, and Market Access to develop and execute account‑specific business plans.Account Planning & Performance: Develop and maintain Key Account Business Plans using internal tools to track progress, identify risks, and optimize performance.Compliance & Governance: Ensure activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and Pacira compliance policies.Travel & Field Presence: Maintain 60–70% travel; prioritize in‑person engagement.Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MHA, PharmD) preferred.8+ years in Life Science industry (hospital, pharmaceutical/biotech); 2+ years in key account management.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven success managing complex hospital systems and IDN relationships.Strong understanding of formulary processes, clinical pathways, and health system operations.Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of reference/bibliographic software and creating reference databases.Ability to work cross‑functionally.Benefits Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision CoverageFlexible Spending Account & Health Savings Account with company matchEmployee Assistance Program; Mental Health ResourcesDisability CoverageLife insuranceCritical Illness and Accident InsuranceLegal and Identity Theft ProtectionPet InsuranceFertility and Maternity Assistance401(k) with company matchFlexible Time Off (FTO) and 11 paid holidaysPaid Parental Leave#J-18808-Ljbffr
