You Will AccomplishOwn Category P&L & Business OutcomesDeliver ambitious GMV and revenue targets across assigned eBay Live categoriesAct as General Manager for your categories, with accountability for both topline and bottom‑line performanceOwn budget management, including seller incentives, marketing, and programming investments to maximize ROIDefine & Execute Category StrategyEstablish eBay Live's right‑to‑win within each category, informed by market dynamics, seller economics, and buyer behaviorDetermine what to prioritize, when, why, and how across supply growth, demand generation, content, trust, and product capabilitiesTranslate strategy into clear roadmaps and execution plans across teamsDrive Supply Growth & Seller SuccessDefine assortment strategy, including target buyer segments and inventory profilesSet clear criteria for seller selection and onboarding using analytics, pattern recognition, and merchant intuitionPartner with Business Development to recruit, onboard, and scale high‑potential sellersNegotiate complex commercial agreements and incentive structures with sellers and vendorsBuild Compelling Live Commerce ExperiencesLead the creation of entertaining, high‑conversion live content tailored to different shopping and entertainment “modes”Develop and continuously refine run‑of‑show playbooks that push the boundaries of live shoppingEnsure programming quality, trust, and differentiation that sets eBay Live apart in the marketLead at Scale, Cross‑FunctionallyLead a diverse cross‑functional group including Business Development, onboarding, account management, programming, operations, and product partnersDrive execution with the rigor of an operator and the adaptability of a startup founderBuild, hire, coach, and retain a high‑performing direct team (5–10), including entrepreneurial category managers as new verticals are launchedEvolve org structure and team composition as categories scale and priorities shiftWhat You'll BringBA/BS degree or equivalent; MBA strongly preferred10+ years of relevant ecommerce, marketplace, or retail experience, including direct work with sellers and/or brandsProven experience owning or influencing P&L, GMV, or revenue targetsStrong interest in, or experience with, live selling, video commerce, or creator‑led marketplacesDemonstrated success leading and developing teams with entrepreneurial DNAExceptional strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to identify patterns, set direction, and iterate quicklyStrong cross‑functional leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and build trusted seller relationshipsWillingness to travel up to ~15% for seller meetings, industry events, and team offsitesAdditional DetailsThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:$162,800 – $244,000Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
