with our energy and utilities client in San Antonio, TX. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.

Pay:

$37.00 - $42.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

We are looking for a tech savvy User Interface/eXperience (UI/UX) Developer/Programmer who can drive and advance our next generation modern digital workplace technology UI/UX initiatives. This person will be the lead resource for communicating and working with business & technology end users to create holistic solutions for some high visibility ongoing projects.

As a Developer you'll be responsible for creating Mobile/Web experiences and interface for the company. Working with full stack application development teams would be a plus. The developer needs to have a keen understanding of modern web technology stacks especially front‑end programming.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Research, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of UX designs into the JavaScript/Java codebase ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX design standards.

Act as designer‑developer, switching hats in both the areas of design & develop, as Subject Matter Expert (SME) assisting with decision making for some high visibility ongoing projects.

Create clean semantic HTML markup that passes WCAG & ADA/508 Accessibility standards & compliance.

Provide development and support to the customer‑facing design system including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templates.

Collaborate with analysts, developers and architects for successful implementation and component requirements.

Remain current on user interface framework trends and programming techniques and suggest or research new tools and methods as needed.

Design and maintain design files, wireframes, and mock‑ups.

Design and develop UI and UX interfaces and assist with new user interface testing or participate in usability reviews.

Hands on development on front end user frameworks (Vue.js, AngularJS, ReactJS, jQuery etc).

Provide responsive website app development and support to the customer‑facing design system including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templates.

Develop reusable and responsive, interactive patterns and code libraries that meet the highest W3 standards for HTML, JavaScript and CSS.

Collaborate with business analysts, senior developers and architects for successful implementation and component requirements in an SDLC process.

Research, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of frontend designs into the JS/Java codebase.

Participate in conceptualizing, prioritizing, and creating strategies for the product UX.

Develop well‑structured and maintainable code that follows the best practices and industry standards. Work with team members to develop UI prototypes as necessary and validate ideas with a data‑driven approach.

Design and develop UI and UX interfaces to meet standards and requirements.

Proficient understanding of cross‑browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

Minimum Qualifications

High School or GED.

Deep experience in front‑end web application development with hands‑on programming.

Experience with creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end user needs.

Knowledge of using technology Storyboarding tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch and Envision.

History of working with cross‑functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience with communicating and working with business, technology users to create holistic solutions.

Skills, knowledge, and experience using end‑to‑end Human‑centered design (HCD) techniques including design, research, and usability.

Preferred Qualifications

UI/UX design or web developer certifications & training.

Previous experience in the Electric and Gas Utility Industry.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or applicable business degree from an accredited university or relevant business technical experience.

Exposure to front‑end user frameworks (Vue.js, AngularJS, ReactJS, jQuery etc).

Familiarity with screen reader tools is a plus (VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA).

Experience working within agile ceremonies and methodologies.

Must Have

ADA Compliance.

Nice to Have

Adobe AEM.
