Director of Outpatient Services

Responsibilities Director of Outpatient Services Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) A growing 144-bed behavioral health facility

Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.
Position Summary: We are seeking a Director of Outpatient Services who can help this program grow. OP Director provides clinical oversight for all outpatient therapy services. The Director manages all activities involving outpatient referrals from initial call through completion of treatment plans, coordinating caseloads, developing and managing the outpatient staff, and marketing the program. This goal for this position is to maximize referral potentials from assigned accounts and develop new business to achieve the goals and objectives of the business developmental systems.

Qualifications Education: Master's degree from an accredited university in the field of social work or counseling or licensed RN Experience: Five (5) years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility. Licensure: Current RN, LPC or LMSW (fully licensed by the State of Michigan). Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation agencies' regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws regulating mental health care facilities. CPR and CPI training certification must be completed before providing direct care services. Work Hours: Day shift. As a member of the leadership team, assists with administrator on call duties.
