Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a motivated and execution-oriented Manager Programs 3 to join a restricted program within the Air Dominance Division. The position will be based onsite in Rancho Bernardo, CA, El Segundo, CA or Palmdale, CA.
The ideal candidate thrives on shaping and developing high-value strategy and execution of multiple projects for a complex program, orchestrating proposal activities to achieve organization goals that align with customer's strategic objectives while ensuring successful program execution. Responsibilities will include:
Manage the cost, schedule and technical performance of multiple development projects
Support capture management team in pursuit of new business opportunities
Lead the preparation of proposals and support negotiations of contracts and contract changes
Act as primary customer contact for program activities and lead program review sessions with customer and/or NG leadership to address cost, schedule, and technical performance
Establish milestones, roadmaps, and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules
Ensure effective identification and management of issues, risks and opportunities. Drive issues and decisions to closure considering competing points of view, constraints, customer/stakeholder priorities and company strategic objectives
Build and sustain an effective, engaged, and integrated team in a complex, geographically dispersed, partner-rich, and dynamic environment
Direct subcontractors and suppliers driving towards alignment on common program objectives
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master's degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below.
Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in: project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related
5 years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable period, as determined by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current access to a Special Access Program (SAP)
2 years' experience in profit & loss (P&L) program management on a DoD program
STEM degree
Functional Management experience
Risk and opportunity management experience
Proposal management experience
Control Account Manager (CAM) Certification
4 or more years of experience as a CAM
Long term strategy development experience
Primary Level Salary Range: $193,000.00 - $289,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
