Sales Manager

Manages and directs the execution of sales plans and initiatives. Provide leadership and direction for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the sales team and sales functions. Assists in strategic planning, sales growth, customer service and problem resolution. Develops and directs implementation and execution of strategic sales plans to accommodate Company goals. Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses. Ensures communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets Company expenditure requirements. Builds, develops and manages sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives in accordance with strategic goals. Oversees and directs market research, competitor analyses and customer service and retention monitoring processes and initiatives. Reviews customer needs, pricing and rates. Establishes and assigns sales territories. Manages sales department budget. Prepares accurate sales reports as needed in a timely manner. Represents Company at trade meetings/shows to promote product. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:

BS in Business Administration or Engineering and at least five years in sales management.
Sales experience in the defense or electronics industry with a successful track record of results
Technical skills in strategic planning, sales planning, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising.
Problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
Proven team leadership skills; ability to effectively influence and motivate others.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Strong customer orientation.
