Job Title
The primary objective of this role is to drive strategic projects in support of sales forecasting and reporting for the US Immunology Business Unit. This role will also play a key role in contract analytics, assist with the modeling of emerging competitive market dynamics, coordinate governance, and support other strategic Finance initiatives.
The individual must develop and maintain a strong understanding of the business to enable optimal decision-making through cross-functional collaboration with Sales & Marketing Management, Marketing Analytics, Market Access, Commercial Finance, and Operations.
This position reports to the Director, Finance, Immunology Forecasting, HUMIRA. It is a highly visible leadership role with opportunities to interact across multiple levels of the organization, including senior management.
Core Job Responsibilities
Apply extensive knowledge of business conditions and marketing strategy for each franchise through interactions with Commercial Vice Presidents and multiple other cross functional areas including Pricing, Market Access, Commercial Finance, Commercial Analysis, and Operations
Drive EIMP Finance workstreams coordinating key deliverables and ensuring due dates are met per agreed timelines
Drive Contract analytics, monitoring/tracking and ensure integration into Financial planning workstreams
Effectively translate contract deal model analysis into core financial deliverables. Clearly/effectively present robust sales forecasts and robust analytics aligned with EIMP deal terms compared against appropriate financial benchmarks
Understand and drive clear & concise supporting narrative to bring life to the numbers
be able to articulate the 'why' and key considerations from a business & strategic perspective, not just through a model (#'s) lens.
Deliver strong communication with upper management on forecast issues, process, and rationale.
Manage ad hoc analyses and other strategic Finance projects to support HUMIRA and the rest of the Immunology portfolio, as needed.
Qualifications
Requires 7-10 years combined experience in cost accounting, auditing, financial reporting, or financial planning and analysis is required. Supervisory, Forecasting and prior pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, identify key issues, opportunities, and value drivers, and effectively translate strategic insights into appropriate forecasts to drive business decisions.
Ability to solve business problems through the proactive identification of issues and subsequent collection, analysis, and interpretation of related data.
Proven ability to design and manage multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic environment within given timelines.
Excellent problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to "influence without direct authority" effectively across functional areas and with varying levels of management.
Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Pay Range: $141500 - 268500 USD
Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
