Terms of Employment:
- Employment Type: Part-Time Contract (15 hours per week)
- Duration: Approximately 4 Months (Potential for extension or full-time conversion based on performance and budget)
- Location: Fully Remote (US-based; strong preference for candidates capable of working within East Coast or Midwest business hours)
- Total availability to dedicate 15 hours per week during standard business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST), spread across at least three working days. Candidates with full-time day jobs cannot be considered.
Overview:
- Work with a globally recognized leader in customer experience software. Zendesk is seeking a sharp, highly adaptable Digital Marketer to manage high-impact campaigns directed at the global startup ecosystem. In this role, you will champion brand awareness and candidate acquisition for Zendesk’s premier startup program, which has already supported over 50,000 founders worldwide. If you are a digital-savvy marketer who understands how founders think, excels at running paid media campaigns, and knows how to optimize landing pages for conversion, this role offers an incredible platform to make a visible impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, launch, and manage a high-priority paid media campaign targeting startup founders from August 1st through the end of October.
- Audit and optimize existing digital landing pages to continuously improve user journeys and maximize conversion rates.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal web engineering and email operations teams to coordinate assets across Content Management Systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms.
- Craft engaging, clear, and audience-specific marketing copy across various digital channels including web, social, and email.
- Provide strategic digital marketing support for secondary initiatives, including a mini-website refresh slated for September and promotional follow-ups for mid-summer webinars.
- Structure a predictable weekly schedule spanning at least three business days to actively participate in core team syncs and cross-regional meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- Direct experience marketing to or working within the startup ecosystem, showcasing a strong understanding of founder mindsets and tech environments.
- Proven track record executing paid media campaigns on specialized acquisition networks, specifically LinkedIn, Reddit, and Product Hunt.
- Demonstrated capability in analyzing digital consumer behavior and optimizing web landing pages for conversion.
- Exceptional marketing copywriting skills with a portfolio of work highlighting crisp, clear communication across web pages, email, or social media.
- Familiarity with the concepts and structures of Content Management Systems (CMS) and digital event marketing platforms (e.g., Splash).
Preferred Qualifications:
Possession of a diverse digital portfolio showcasing full-funnel campaign assets, web builds, or email marketing examples.
- Strong working knowledge of Customer Experience (CX) software or the broader SaaS industry.
- Proactive familiarity with modern workflow automation and AI-driven digital marketing efficiency tools.
- University Bachelor's degree (open to equivalent practical training or specialized digital courses).
