This role is for a skilled videographer to capture a live concert and behind-the-scenes moments for a documentary about a reggae artist. The project requires on-site filming in Albany, New York, for a single day. The focus will be on dynamic, documentary-style footage, including handheld camera work for interviews and candid moments with the band. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of similar projects, demonstrating expertise in capturing live music events and authentic backstage interactions.
Deliverables
Film the entire concert, including on-stage performances and audience reactions
Capture backstage footage, artist interactions, and candid moments throughout the event
Conduct and record handheld interviews with the artist and band members
Provide high-quality raw footage and, if possible, basic edits for review
Ensure all footage is delivered promptly after the event
Requirements
Proven experience in documentary-style videography, especially live music events
Strong handheld camera skills and ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments
Proficiency with professional video equipment and audio capture for interviews
Portfolio showcasing similar documentary and concert work, with emphasis on handheld interviews
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations on-site
Availability for a full day of filming in Albany, New York
Excellent communication and organizational skills
