Junior Designer (Footwear & Accessories)

Location:Bay AreaEngagement:Full TimeABOUT THE ROLEFREDA SALVADOR is seeking a Junior Designer to support the design and development of footwear and accessories collections. This role is highly execution-focused, working closely with the Senior Designer and founders to bring seasonal concepts to life with clarity, precision, and attention to detail.You will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day design process—from CADs and updates to sample tracking and meeting preparation—ensuring the team can move efficiently and stay aligned. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle while building a strong foundation in footwear and accessories design.This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, highly organized, and excited to contribute within a collaborative, design-led environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDesign Support & ExecutionSupport the development of seasonal collections across footwear and accessoriesCreate, update, and maintain CADs, sketches, and technical design filesAssist in translating design direction into clear, organized materials for developmentHelp prepare design presentations and decks for key milestonesProcess & OrganizationTrack design updates, materials, and changes throughout the development processMaintain organized records of styles, revisions, and seasonal assetsSupport calendar milestones by ensuring deliverables are prepared and up to dateSample & Development SupportAssist in reviewing prototypes and samples, taking notes and tracking revisionsPartner with Product Development to ensure accuracy and follow-through on updatesHelp ensure design intent is clearly communicated and maintainedCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with the Senior Designer, Product Development, and Merchandising teamsSupport communication across teams to keep projects moving efficientlyContribute to a collaborative and positive team environmentQUALIFICATIONS1–3 years of experience in footwear and/or accessories design (or strong internships)Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and design toolsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailBasic understanding of materials and construction is a plusAbility to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environmentStrong aesthetic and interest in fashion, design, and craftsmanshipWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORA highly reliable, detail-oriented team playerSomeone who takes pride in execution and follow-throughCurious, proactive, and eager to learnComfortable supporting multiple workstreams and shifting prioritiesExcited to grow within a small, collaborative, founder-led company
