ASSISTANT DESIGNERPelham, NY | Full-Time | Strictly In-HouseWestchester-based women's fashion design company is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Assistant Designer to support our Head Designer and dynamic design team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical design skills, a creative eye, and experience in women's apparel design.This is a strictly in-house position based in Pelham, NY. Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite full-time. Please review commute requirements before applying.Responsibilities:Execute on-brand Fashion CADs and design conceptsCreate print patterns in Illustrator utilizing up to 15 colorsDraw CAD bodies in Illustrator and work efficiently in layersCreate and edit seasonal linesheetsAssist with embroidery layout and designSupport fittings, take detailed notes, and assist in product developmentCollaborate closely with the Head Designer and design team on seasonal collectionsMaintain accuracy, organization, and attention to detail across all projectsQualifications:5-10 years of women's apparel experience requiredStrong knowledge of garment construction and product developmentTechnical knowledge of FDS sheetsAdvanced Adobe Illustrator skills requiredExperience creating prints, CADs, and technical design workKnowledge of embroidery layouts and designFull proficiency with both Apple and PC platformsStrong graphic and organizational skillsMust be proactive, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environmentTeam player with strong communication and problem-solving skillsInterview Process:Candidates will be asked to complete a design exercise during the interview process using a garment and print provided by the company.Requirements:Portfolio of designs and tech packs must be submitted with applicationMust be able to work onsite in Pelham, NYThis position is strictly in-house — no exceptionsSchedule & Benefits:Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:30 PMMedical, Dental, and Vision benefits401(k) with dollar-for-dollar company matchTwo weeks vacation plus 5 PTO days
