About the Company

Our client is an early-stage AI company building autonomous AI teammates designed to replace large portions of the traditional SaaS stack. Operating at the intersection of AI infrastructure, autonomous agents, and workflow automation, the company is building products that integrate directly into how modern teams operate across engineering, finance, operations, and GTM functions.
They are now hiring a founding-level Head of Talent / Talent Lead to build and own the entire hiring function across multiple fast-scaling AI companies.
This is not a traditional recruiting leadership role focused on managing recruiters. This is a highly execution-driven, founder-facing position for someone who thrives in outbound sourcing, talent strategy, closing top-tier candidates, and building scalable hiring systems from scratch.
You will work directly with founders, own full-cycle hiring across engineering, GTM, and operations roles, and help scale teams from 20 to 100+ employees across NYC and Europe.

What You\'ll Do

Own end-to-end hiring across technical, GTM, and operational functions
Personally source, screen, and close top-tier talent in highly competitive markets
Build scalable hiring systems including ATS setup, interview loops, scorecards, AI workflows, calibration processes, and referral systems
Partner directly with founders on org design and strategic hiring decisions
Develop proactive outbound sourcing pipelines rather than relying on inbound applicants
Track and optimize hiring metrics including time-to-hire, offer acceptance, retention, and source quality
Create a high-performance hiring culture designed for rapid scaling without compromising talent quality

What We\'re Looking For

Experience building a hiring function from scratch in a startup or high-growth environment
Strong hands-on sourcing experience for engineering and AI-related roles
Ability to hire across engineering, GTM, and operations functions
Experience with ATS systems, interview architecture, scorecards, AI recruiting workflows, and hiring analytics
Exceptional closing and negotiation capabilities
Strong ownership mentality with a bias toward execution over process-heavy management
NYC-based and comfortable working fully onsite with founders
