The Musical Pit Band Director has these among other duties and responsibilities: Direct Pit Orchestra for rehearsals and performances, Score study (preparation) 10 hours, Transpose / arrange parts for student musicians 8 hours, Submit professional musician needs and budget to Musical Director and Associate Principal overseeing non-athletic co-curricular activities, Rehearse and assist musicians with the music prior to full-cast rehearsals 30 hours, Ensure preparedness of pit orchestra prior to full-cast rehearsals 4 hours, Conduct evening rehearsals with the entire pit orchestra as scheduled by Musical Director (Sitzprobe) 3 hours, Rehearse with the full cast during the entire production week schedule and on the Saturday before performance dates 14 hours, Live performance 12 hours, Adhere to all BOE policies and other co-curricular policies and regulations Contract
