Who We Are Looking For

Per Scholas New York seeks a visionary and operationally rigorous Senior Director of Talent Solutions to lead our largest High Growth Market's employer engagement and placement engine. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be the architect and lead for the entire NY TSOL team, responsible for the strategy, people, and processes that transition hundreds of graduates annually into high-wage IT and tech-enabled careers.
You are a thought leader in the workforce development and tech-staffing space. You don't just react to the market; you anticipate it. You will serve as a high-level consultant to external partnersincluding Fortune 500 executives and civic leaderswhile ensuring that, internally, our operational "supply chain" from classroom to career is seamless, data-driven, and scalable.
What You'll Do

1. Executive Leadership & Departmental Management

Head of TSOL:

Provide primary leadership and strategic direction for the entire New York City Market Talent Solutions team. You are responsible for hiring, mentoring, and performance-managing an eight person team of Directors, Sr. Managers and Managers.
Direct Partnership:

Serve as a key member of the market Leadership Team, working in lockstep with the NYC Managing Director and NY+NJ High Growth Market Executive Director to align placement goals with regional growth, fundraising, and sustainability target outcomes.
Thought Leadership:

Represent Per Scholas NY at industry conferences, roundtable discussions, and with the media as an expert on tech-equity and future-of-work hiring trends.
2. High-Level External Partnerships

Enterprise Account Architect:

Personally manage and grow relationships with C-Suite executives and HR heads at New York's leading firms. You will move these partnerships beyond "one-off" hires to multi-year, revenue-generating talent pipelines.
Prior employer partnerships, preferably in tech-enabled careers, with a track record of high-level employer relationship management.
Strategic Negotiations:

Lead the design and execution of complex contracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and fee-for-service models that ensure Per Scholas is a preferred vendor for technical talent.
Advisory Board Engagement:

Collaborate with the NY Advisory Board and employer councils to ensure Per Scholas remains the "first call" for enterprise-level tech hiring needs.
3. Cross-Functional Operations & Integration

Operational Bridge-Building:

Act as the lead collaborator between Instruction, Admissions, and Professional Development. You ensure that what is being taught in the labs is exactly what the market is demanding, facilitating real-time curriculum feedback loops.
Systems Architect:

Design and enforce the operational standards for the placement process. You own the "Standard Operating Procedures" (SOPs) that govern how graduates are vetted, matched, and presented to clients.
Change Management:

Lead the NY team through the adoption of new technologies, placement methodologies, and market pivots (e.g., shifting focus toward AI or Cloud-specific roles).
4. Data Governance & Performance Analytics

Regional Accountability:

Own the NY Salesforce (CRM) dashboard. You will use data to identify trends, forecast placement outcomes, and provide the Managing Director with transparent, real-time reports on team productivity.
Metric Excellence:

Ensure the region consistently hits an

80% placement rate

within 4 months of graduation while meeting or exceeding all revenue-based job attainment goals.

Professional Qualifications

Strategic Leadership:

10+ years of experience in staffing, business development, or corporate recruitment, with at least 5 years leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Operational Sophistication:

Proven ability to build and manage complex systems. You are an expert at mapping workflows and using data to drive operational efficiency.
High-Stakes Relationship Ownership and Management:

A track record of operating at the "High-Level"successfully influencing C-Suite stakeholders and navigating the procurement processes of large corporations.
IT Ecosystem Knowledge:

Deep familiarity with the NY tech landscape and a nuanced understanding of hiring requirements for Cyber, Data, Software Engineering, AI, and Cloud roles.

NY Placement Rate:

Achieve and maintain a minimum

80% placement success rate

for all immersive tracks.
Revenue & Sustainability:

Secure and expand fee-based employer partnerships to meet 100% of the NY market's revenue targets.
Operational Integrity:

100% Salesforce data accuracy and the implementation of standardized vetting protocols across the NY team.
Retention:

Maintain high employer satisfaction and graduate retention rates through superior account management.
For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary of $95,000, with a range of $90,000 to $95,000 (/Sr Dir). The salary difference is typically determined by several factors, including the candidate's geographic location and alignment with qualifications and experience.

Holidays & PTO:

Full-Time Per Scholas team members enjoy

over 40 days

of paid time off each year through a mix of holidays, vacation, and sick/personal time! All employees are eligible for Holiday pay upon hire (a total of 22 holidays annually, including

a week off for Independence day

and

a week before the New Year ). Full-Time Benefits Eligible employees also receive 80 Wellness Hours to use for Sick, Safe, or Personal reasons and accrue Vacation at a rate of 8 hours at the beginning of every month, supporting rest, recharge, and work-life balance. Vacation accruals increase with tenure. Part-time employees are afforded time off on a prorated basis and in accordance with local requirements.
Comprehensive Medical Coverage:

Benefit eligible employees can choose from multiple medical plans through Cigna or Kaiser Permanente (where available), with options to fit your needs. Eligible employees also have access to a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) that reimburses eligible out-of-pocket expenses, up to $4,000 for individuals and $8,000 for families.
Dental and Vision Insurance:

Eligible employees can select from two dental plan options and a vision plan. Employees who waive medical coverage receive employer paid dental and vision premiums.
Retirement Savings:

401(k) plan with a current 100% employer match on contributions up to 6%, eligible employees are offered entry and full vesting after 90 days with the company.
