Seeking a part-time Director of Music for oversight and direction of the congregation’s program of musical praise to God. Working in a team relationship with the pastor, the staff accompanist/organist, church staff, and the Worship Committee, the Director of Music will support the church’s music programs, including directing adult, youth, children, and bell choirs, incorporating music that will enhance a blended style of worship: a mix of traditional, contemporary, and gospel. The church chancel is equipped with a three keyboard Allen hybrid pipe organ, a piano, and a three-octave handbell set. Annual compensation to be determined depending upon skills and experience, with accrued paid vacation (based on years of service), sick leave, books and music allowance, social security, unemployment insurance, and continuing education allowance. Work week averages 20-25 hours/week. Preferred candidates will have a background in choral direction and experience as pianist and/or organist. Effective date of employment: Fall 2026 but summer employment as of June 2026 is possible.
