The Assistant Manager, Influencer Marketing/PR role at Coty offers exposure to luxury brands and impact shaping US press and influencer work.
Responsibilities
As our Assistant Manager, you will report to our Senior Manager of Influencer Marketing/Public Relations and support the team in the development and execution of US press and influencer strategies for a portfolio of fragrance brands (BOSS and Gucci Fragrances) to maximize social content, press coverage and positive consumer engagement. The Assistant Manager will help shape and execute 360° programs that maximize brand awareness, consideration, and demand—spanning paid and earned influencer initiatives, press outreach and event execution. Additionally, they will support the team in budget management, external agency management, as well as the creation of strategic activation evaluations and recaps.
The Assistant Manager, PR & Influencer Marketing, should excel at managing multiple priorities, staying highly organized with strong communication skills, and approaching work proactively with a positive, collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate is an avid social media consumer, who is in tune with digital trends and the influencers and competitive brands setting those trends. The position calls for a team-player and consummate professional with a positive attitude who will represent the department and brands in a positive light and serve as department ambassador both internally and externally, communicating effectively on behalf of the team/brands.
Your main focus
Influencer Management & Execution
Assist in the creation, management and execution of US influencer paid campaigns and unpaid activations to secure extensive social coverage and awareness across a variety of social platforms in the US market
Maintain an understanding of the overall influencer landscape and functionality related to each social media platform; research and stay up-to-date on top tier influencer brand partnerships and monitor competitive partnerships regularly; share updates to Leadership as requested
Assist in management of external agencies on the execution of influencer initiatives, developing content briefings and contract negotiations to ensure strategic and executional excellence
Support planning and execution of local and global events, tastemaker partnerships, sponsorships, and in‑market activations
Oversee purchase order process for timely payments of agencies, influencer partners and contracted vendors
Press Management & Execution
Assist in developing the US editorial strategy to help secure earned features, product placements, and brand storytelling moments
Originate and execute pitches relating to brand news, innovations, trends and seasonal angles to key beauty editors and writers
Manage creation and distribution of press materials, including press releases, fact sheets, media alerts, and Q&A documents
Develop and maintain strong editorial relationships to support ongoing earned press coverage
PR & Influencer Reporting, Analysis & Recommendations
Oversee all PR and influencer reporting, including press coverage tracking, influencer performance monitoring, and recap development across platforms such as Traackr, DMR, and supplemental tools
Analyze press and influencer activations to identify key insights, trends, and optimization opportunities that inform broader brand strategies
Maintain and update trackers for pending requests, coverage status, influencer deliverables, and content performance to ensure real‑time visibility across programs
Support the development of strategic recommendations that strengthen earned media impact, refine influencer partnerships, and enhance 360° campaign performance
Business Processes & Operations
Assist in managing detailed brand budgets across influencer, press, and event programs
Oversee purchase orders, timely processing of invoices, and payments for agencies, influencer partners, and vendors
Manage forecasts and product orders using SAP/Ariba and coordinate with local IM and cross‑functional teams
Manage product closet inventory with accuracy, organization, and allocation strategy
Ensure smooth operational flow between teams by maintaining organized documentation and efficient internal processes
Team Support & Communication
Act as a liaison with Global Influencer Marketing, US/Global Marketing, Digital, Media, E‑Comm, and agency partners to support 360° communications
Collaborate across the PR/IM team on cross‑portfolio initiatives, including desksides, award submissions, and press moments
Communicate clearly and professionally on behalf of the department and uphold Coty’s luxury brand standards

Qualifications
4-year Undergraduate Degree in Communications or Related Field
3+ years of Public Relations, Influencer Marketing, Event Planning and/or related experience
Experience in event management and execution
Experience managing influencer campaigns
Interest in the Beauty, Public Relations and Influencer Marketing industries
Understanding of paid social, usage rights, and creator partnerships
Strong organizational, administrative and written/verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
Proven experience partnering effectively with cross-functional teams
Shows initiative, integrity, dependability and a positive, proactive attitude
Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset while demonstrating adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and resourcefulness

Benefits
Base Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000
