Associate Designer

Responsibilities

Develop understanding of business, brand attributes, and product development process.
Gain knowledge on relevant fabric, trim, and artwork techniques.
Shop market for inspiration and trends, as well as competitive market.
Assemble seasonal color cards for department.
Create artwork, patterns, and pitch sheets.
Execute line sheets and tech packs.
Attend fittings as needed.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
Support director and designer on occasional special projects.
Assist in designing assortment with opportunity for future category and or brand responsibility.
Skills

Possess creativity and eye for newness.
Interest in graphic and textile design.
Working knowledge of fit and garment construction.
Clear and concise communication.
Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
Adhere to calendar and deadlines.
Eager to grow and contribute to the team’s success.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office.
