About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and detail-driven Apparel Designer specializing in outerwear and structured bottoms. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role reporting directly to senior design leadership.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

Design Support: Assist senior designers in sketching new silhouettes and creating dynamic colorways for jackets, bottoms, and swimwear.

Tech Pack Creation: Build and maintain highly accurate technical packages utilizing Excel and Adobe Illustrator, including detailed technical diagrams, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and precise trim placements.

Research & Development: Conduct market research on emerging fashion trends, competitor pricing, and innovative hardware or fabric finishes to keep our collections ahead of the curve.

Fit Assistance: Attend live fit sessions to take meticulous notes, update technical sketches based on fit feedback, and help track changes across sizes.

Trim & Fabric Sourcing: Maintain and organize the design library and reference files to seamlessly track ongoing product development.

Vendor Communication: Coordinate directly with global vendors and suppliers to request lab dips, sample yardage, strike-offs, prototypes, and sales samples.

Pack & Ship: Help prepare, label, and organize samples for shipping to various accounts and production partners.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Education:

Degree in Fashion Design or a closely related field.

Experience:

3 to 7 years of proven experience in apparel design (experience with outerwear, structured bottoms, or technical apparel is a major plus).

Technical Software Skills:

Adobe Creative Suite:

Expert-level

Adobe Illustrator

for creating precise flat sketches and tech packs. Proficiency in

Photoshop

for creating mood boards, prints, and color renderings.

Microsoft Office Suite:

Proficiency in

Excel

for managing BOMs, and

Outlook/Teams

for seamless internal and vendor communication.

Eye for Detail:

A strong foundational understanding of garment construction basics (e.g., pocket construction, zipper applications, seam finishes, and garment mapping).

Mindset:

High motivation, a collaborative spirit, and a willingness to dive into any task to help the team succeed.

Bonus Points If You Have:

Basic knowledge or proficiency in 3D design software such as

CLO 3D

or

Browzwear .
