Purpose
The Senior Graphic Designer is skilled in the creation of effective marketing, advertising, and communications solutions with an outstanding command of layout, typography, iconography, and information architecture. The Senior Graphic Designer helps lead concepting, creative execution, and design for a variety of multi-channel campaigns, print and digital marketing collateral including brochures, multi-page documents, flyers, presentations, corporate identity, and other communications materials.
Essential Functions
Graphic Design & Production
Responsible for concepting, designing, and producing a variety of marketing communications for print, environmental, and digital as well as other collateral and advertising campaign materials. Contributes to the continual improvement of the creative production workflow, processes, and systems of the Creative Team, including the structure and organization of design files. Documents processes and best practices. Works with vendors and partners such as printers, agencies, and others to complete production and fulfillment of projects.
Strategy & Consultation
Collaborates across the organization in support of corporate initiatives, attending project meetings, providing strategic insight, presenting an overview of initiatives to other associates, and ensuring all commitments are met. Assists in the creation and execution of integrated, strategic, creative communication plans for company‑wide and cross‑functional initiatives. Researches topics and information to develop creative.
Project Management & Planning
Works with marketing project managers and the team to plan, set priorities, and ensure proper communication across divisions; understands escalation procedures. Familiar with WorkFront Project Management Tool.
Administration & Compliance
Fulfills HR, legal, compliance, and other administrative responsibilities, requirements, and training associated with the role and level.
Training & Development
Improves knowledge and skills by participating in relevant job‑related training; maintains awareness of industry best practices and trends. Shares knowledge and skills with the team, mentoring and/or training others.
Qualifications
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Communications Design, or related field. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an additional four years of relevant work experience is required.
Experience: Five years with a portfolio or work examples that demonstrate proficiency in creating compelling marketing communications for a wide variety of media and audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a marketing department, in‑house creative team, or advertising agency.
- Experience designing for healthcare and/or government‑regulated products, services, and industries.
- Health insurance experience with a good understanding of healthcare trends.
- Understanding of ADA and 508 accessibility standards with the ability to create content that meets WC3 requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Expert graphic design, layout, typography, and information architecture skills with a strong sense of style and consistency.
- Strong experience creating effective marketing solutions, branding, visual identity systems, and advertising campaigns.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of print production and workflow with the ability to manage internal and external partners to ensure successful creative output, delivery of materials on time and on budget.
- Mastery of Adobe Design Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and PowerPoint.
- Hands‑on experience with the Microsoft Office suite of business applications (Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.).
- Strong design thinking skills with a relevant creative point of view and ability to present ideas effectively while being receptive to feedback from others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously; sometimes under pressure and often with tight deadlines.
- Ability to balance day‑to‑day requests of both internal and external clients ensuring all timelines and requirements are consistently achieved.
- Ability to collect input from multiple sources and turn insights into actionable concepts, enhanced consumer experiences, and long‑term innovation.
- Broad and thorough knowledge of best practices in communication, marketing, advertising, and brand design.
- Ability to oversee, mentor, and inspire fellow creative team members and other co‑workers.
- Experience with project management software or tools (Workfront, Jira, etc.).
Salary Range
$63,504 - $126,126
Travel Requirements
5% occasional need to travel to different offices and locations.

Physical Demands
The associate is primarily seated while performing the duties of the position. Occasional walking or standing is required.
