Overview
We are seeking a Director of Creative Operations, also known as a Creative Director with an operational focus. This position is at the intersection of creative leadership and operational execution. The successful candidate will lead an in-house creative team, optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and enable scalable creative delivery across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on guiding creative teams to ensure work is completed efficiently, on time, and aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage an in-house creative team, providing direction, coaching, and accountability to ensure high-quality output.
- Drive operational excellence across creative workflows by optimizing processes, resource allocation, and production timelines.
- Partner with Project Management to manage workload and prioritization.
- Balance creative vision with execution, providing guidance on creative direction while maintaining brand alignment.
- Implement and scale AI-driven creative workflows, introducing generative AI tools to improve efficiency.
- Assess and optimize team structure, evaluating capabilities and identifying hiring or restructuring needs.
- Act as the operational bridge between leadership and the creative team, translating business goals into actionable creative workflows.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Graphic Design, Creative Strategy, or a related field is required. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive creative leadership experience across brand, marketing, digital, and performance-driven content environments. This includes experience leading and developing high-performing in-house creative teams, including U.S.-based and international resources.
Technical Skills
- Demonstrated ability to run operations and a strong understanding of creative workflows, resource planning, and delivery models.
- Experience partnering with Project Management on resource allocation.
- Proven ability to execute and handle tasks directly, not just provide strategic oversight.
- Experience with creative development across digital advertising, email/CRM, SMS/MMS, video, social, web, and sales support channels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the travel, hospitality, lifestyle, membership, or related consumer-facing industries.
- Exposure to the timeshare business model is not required but is a plus.
- Experience implementing AI in creative workflows.
- A background that includes both agency and in-house environments.
Work Environment
This position is based in Orlando, FL. The work schedule requires four days onsite and allows for one day of remote work. The ideal candidate is collaborative, team-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving organization with a high-accountability environment.
