AppLovin is hiring: Partner Solutions Engineer, Ads in Palo Alto

AppLovin · Palo Alto, CA, USA ·

Pay:
$126,000-$188,000/yr
Job type:
Full Time

About the Role
We are looking for a highly‑motivated Partner Solutions Engineer - Ads in Palo Alto. This is not a traditional support role. You will operate as a forward‑deployed engineer at the intersection of product, engineering, and our partner ecosystem, owning the technical relationship with our most strategic third‑party integration partners.

We are actively building next‑generation integration flows with partners. This role exists to make those integrations succeed, accelerate adoption of our CAPI and tracking infrastructure, and ensure that integration friction gets fed back into the product rather than buried in a ticket queue. 90% of this role is partner‑facing: guiding advertisers and integration partners through correct implementation, troubleshooting issues quickly, providing strategic guidance, and proactively identifying gaps in our APIs and flows. The remaining 10% is hands‑on: when you see a recurring friction point, you build the fix.

We want someone who treats every recurring partner issue as a signal that something in our product, API, or documentation can be improved, and who has the technical depth to act on it. You will work directly with AppLovin's engineering teams and leadership, with real influence over how our integration ecosystem evolves. The partners you support will be some of the most strategically important to our growth.

A Day in the Life
Partner Integration & Enablement

Own the end‑to‑end technical onboarding and integration experience for strategic third‑party partners across CAPI, web SDK, and APIs

Guide advertisers and partners through correct implementation of our tracking and data infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving misconfigurations before they impact performance

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for partner‑specific issues across new integration pilots, including API flows and sandbox/testing environments

Drive adoption by translating complex technical requirements into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non‑technical audiences

Analytical Problem Solving

Investigate, reproduce, and resolve technical issues with web SDK, CAPI, and API integrations, pinpointing root causes through data analysis

Query and visualize large data sets to identify anomalies, performance drops, attribution discrepancies, and integration edge cases

Build internal tooling and scripts to streamline troubleshooting, automate validation steps, and accelerate partner debugging

Spot patterns across partner issues and translate recurring friction points into concrete product improvement recommendations

Cross‑Functional Impact

Work closely with engineering teams to architect and prioritize solutions to integration problems at scale

Act as the connective tissue between partners and our internal engineering teams, ensuring partner feedback directly influences product and API roadmap decisions

Support new integration pilots across partners, owning sandbox validation and proactive issue resolution so core engineering stays focused on building

Influence decision‑making through data‑centric presentations to internal stakeholders and leadership

Who You Are

2+ years of professional software engineering experience, with production‑quality code in dynamic environments

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Strong foundation in web‑based integrations: experience with CAPI, server‑side tracking, APIs, pixels, or equivalent ad‑tech infrastructure

Experience querying large data sets with SQL; comfort working directly in data to debug, validate, and surface insights

Clear, precise written communicator, equally at ease in internal technical discussions and external partner communications

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in ad‑tech, performance marketing, or e‑commerce advertising, with familiarity with attribution, data signals, ROAS, and measurement concepts

Hands‑on experience with e‑commerce platforms such as Shopify, Google Tag Manager, or equivalent

Experience working with enterprise or strategic B2B partners in a technical capacity

Track record of identifying product gaps from operational experience and driving improvements back into engineering roadmaps

Comfort operating in a fast‑moving, ambiguous environment where the answer isn't always written down

Prior experience in a solutions engineering, partner engineering, or forward‑deployed engineering role
