Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following full-time time limited position: Creative Specialist in Teal Nation Retail.

Required Qualifications

A high school diploma and two (2) years experience using the Adobe Creative Suite, such as illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom for precision vector artwork or marketing templates and flyers.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design with some experience in decoration of merchandise, or marketing design. Experience using Embroidery Digitizing Software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop visually appealing and on-brand designs for various merchandise items for the Teal Nation Stores. This includes hard and soft goods. Will also deliver custom designs based on internal and external client requirements and project requests. This position will edit, resize, and optimize graphics and visuals for both print, embroidery, and laser format.
  • Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards. Track project progress, communicate timelines with clientele, and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth execution.
  • Create brand and marketing templates for Teal Nation Retail as needed.
  • Create realistic digital renderings and mockups of decorated merchandise to assist the sales team in the proof of concept phase. This involves placing custom artwork into a work order system so clients can visualize the final result before production begins.
  • Provide support to all customers with any design-related inquiries, updates, or issues. Will explain the design processes or product results, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be able to produce files in a fast pace environment to keep timelines. Ability to troubleshoot technical production issues, such as resolving color-matching discrepancies or optimizing complex vector paths for manufacturing. Also capable of balancing long-term creative projects with urgent, as-needed marketing requests.

Benefits and Conditions

Time Limited position with benefits. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Hours may vary depending on demand and the time of year. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

Working Conditions: The Creative Specialist primarily operates in an office or open environment. This position requires long periods of sedentary work, characterized by high-intensity focus on digital displays. Multiple interruptions throughout the day may occur.
