The Role
We are building our internal tax function following our transition to a public company. This hands‑on role will be a foundational hire responsible for leading the company’s income tax accounting and provision process under ASC 740, while partnering closely with Finance, Legal, and broader tax teams to support compliance and reporting.
This individual will play a critical role in establishing scalable processes, ensuring technical accuracy, and supporting the company’s evolving public‑company reporting requirements within a complex and growing global structure.
Tax Accounting & ASC 740
- Lead the quarterly and annual income tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740
- Own the calculation and analysis of the effective tax rate (ETR), deferred tax assets and liabilities, and related tax accounts
- Research, document, and support technical tax accounting positions, including complex and non‑routine transactions
- Maintain and enhance documentation supporting tax accounting conclusions and positions
- Own and manage the tax close process, including coordination of timelines, pre‑close planning, and status tracking
Financial Reporting & SEC Compliance
- Prepare and review income tax disclosures included in SEC filings (10‑K, 10‑Q)
- Partner with external auditors to support audits and quarterly reviews, including responding to inquiries and defending tax positions
- Ensure alignment between tax accounting and financial reporting requirements
Tax Compliance & Cross‑Functional Partnership
- Partner with Internal Tax (AT & AC), Finance, and Legal teams to support tax return processes and broader reporting needs
- Gather and analyze data required for taxable income calculations on a quarterly and annual basis
- Prepare and review supporting schedules used in tax compliance and return‑to‑provision reconciliation
- Support income tax forecasting and quarterly taxable income estimates
- Ensure alignment between provision outputs and tax return reporting
Process, Controls & Infrastructure
- Support the build‑out of a public‑company‑ready tax controllership environment
- Own and maintain SOX controls related to income tax accounting and reporting (including alignment with the Controls Matrix)
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- Partner with Finance stakeholders (including Accounting and FP&A) to ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting
The Requirements
- 8–12+ years of relevant tax experience (public accounting and/or corporate tax function)
- CPA or equivalent credentials
- Strong technical expertise in ASC 740 and income tax accounting in a public company, corporate tax function, similar environment
- Experience with SEC reporting and tax disclosures
- Hands‑on experience supporting U.S. corporate income tax compliance and provision processes
- Proven ability to operate cross‑functionally with Finance and Tax teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex tax concepts to non‑tax stakeholders
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on process improvement and execution
Preferred
- Experience helping build or scale a tax function in a public environment
- Familiarity with tax provision and compliance software (e.g., OneSource, Corptax)

Salary Range : The expected salary range for this role is $250,500-$334,100. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill set.
