Summary
This position will play a key role in the growth and expansion of business services and product offerings at Momentum Telecom. The individual in this role is primarily responsible for the sale of Momentum Hosted VoIP, High Capacity Data, and Video to mid-size and large businesses through Momentum’s Sales Model. Successful candidates will close qualified opportunities received from multiple lead sources, including Telecom Consultants, Master Agents, VARs, IT Vendors, and System Integrators. The Regional Sales Manager will build, develop, and manage a territory, coordinating revenue‑generating opportunities, creating account and market plans, and driving product and service delivery initiatives within the portfolio of services. The role will maintain relationships with lead sources and position and sell the Momentum brand alongside its multiple marketing channels through the established go‑to‑market strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create and deliver face‑to‑face sales presentations that demonstrate knowledge of Momentum solutions and services, promoting bundled products to secure the optimal solution for the customer.

Sell with the goal of exceeding departmental financial and unit targets; stay abreast of competitive landscape and emerging technologies to best position Momentum’s services.

Develop the sales territory, produce account plans, and maintain relationships with Telecom Consultants, Master Agents, VARs, IT Vendors, and System Integrators, as well as local business partners.

Actively generate new leads through targeted prospecting activities such as cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals, and partner relationships.

Retain the customer base by ensuring a superior customer experience; build customer relationships to drive retention and work with internal teams to meet and exceed service levels.

Maintain accurate sales records and prepare sales and activity reports as required.

Demonstrate proficiency in Salesforce within 3 months of hire.

Provide accurate budget forecasting and sales quota regular reporting.

Consistently maintain partner relationships.

Be a team player capable of handling ambiguity and reacting swiftly to changes in a fast‑paced environment.

Education and Experience

B.A. or B.S. Degree preferably in Business or Sales and Marketing, or equivalent work experience.

Five or more years of business‑to‑business outside sales experience; proven track record of success in telecommunications sales preferred.

Experience with Internet technologies, Voice network technologies (including VoIP), and data networking technologies (LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN).

Knowledge of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery concepts.

Self‑starter with excellent time management and business sales skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication, strong presentation, persuasive, and negotiating skills.

Results‑driven with a focus on goal achievement and strong customer service orientation.

Technical aptitude and strong knowledge of computers and the Internet.

Previous experience with Salesforce strongly preferred.

Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.

Other
60%+ of the time will be spent out of the office meeting with customers; a valid driver’s license and a car are required. Willingness to travel routinely by car, airplane, or other transportation is necessary. The employee must be available to work overtime as required.
