Relationship Manager - San Francisco, CA

The Relationship Manager, External Wholesaler, is responsible for new business development in the San Francisco region for both the Independent Broker Dealer and Wirehouse Channels. This person will be responsible for marketing a suite of fixed income, equity and global asset allocation funds and a suite of ETFs. The region includes Northern California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. The ideal candidate would reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.Job FunctionsDrive Net New Assets through proactive advisor engagement and relationship developmentRepresent DoubleLine products and strategies to advisors throughout territoryDevelop an annual business plan detailing the necessary strategies, tactics, and resources to achieve stated objectivesTravel across a large territory 3-4 days per weekDevelop, build and maintain relationships with key financial advisors within a focus list of clients and prospectsTrack all meetings and sales events through CRM system (Salesforce.com)Present pre-approved sales presentations in a highly professional manner to a variety of audiencesMaintain close working relationship with Advisor Consultant (Internal Wholesaler) and other key firm staff to promote sales activity and service clientsKeep abreast of the current economy, global markets, fund performance and future outlookBachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or a finance-related majorAbility to thrive in an independent, challenging and collaborative environmentMinimum of 5 years in the investment management industry and 3 years as an external wholesalerSeries 7 and 63 licensesDemonstrated success selling mutual funds, ETFs and alternative productsExisting relationships within territoryKnowledge of the investment management industry and key portfolio management conceptsUnderstanding of various broker-dealer platformsBase Salary RangeThe estimated base salary for this position is $125,000. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
