Why This Role Matters
The Research Coordinator role at Christie’s will be exposed to the art world and auction industry through hands‑on experience in the Impressionist & Modern Art Department. The duties are varied and follow the cycle of the sales calendar as well as support overall department activity.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Assist cataloguers and specialists in researching works for valuation and upcoming sales, including provenance and exhibition history research and literature checks.

Write catalogue essays for publication.

Support gallery installation for auction previews, including compiling and mounting lot cards and taking installation images of each work.

Handle ad‑hoc departmental tasks as assigned by the line manager.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Research experience and interest in Impressionist and Modern Art.

Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and ability to thrive in a high‑pressure environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills.

Effective organizational skills, with proven capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office (including Excel); familiarity with SharePoint and Canvas is a plus.

High attention to detail and reliable follow‑through.

Ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams.

Exceptional client service.

Creative problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach.

Good business judgment aligned with commercial objectives.

Compensation
Hourly: $22.00 - $24.00. Posted salary range does not include discretionary bonus compensation and overtime pay.
