Acoustics Test Flight Test Engineer – P-8A Integrated Test Team

Desired Functions
P-8A Acoustic Test Engineer, Technical Report Editor, Engineer/Computer Scientist/Systems Analyst, Journeyman level.
Testing Engineer / Journeyman Level
Perform test engineering duties including developing, writing, reviewing, and maintaining aircraft test plans and test reports. Key responsibilities include developing testing towards specific aircraft/system performance requirements using instrumentation and data collection schemes; orchestrating the collection of test data; transforming, analyzing, and reporting data results through briefings and reports; conducting briefings and discussions for testing preparation and post‑flight data collection; and recommending improvements in testing equipment and techniques.
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required. A related field Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of work experience.
Three years of experience performing the BLS Function Description.
Three years of NAVAIR, NAWCAD experience.
Other Desired Experience
Three years of experience assisting more senior positions performing functional duties of a similar nature.
Ability to perform all functional duties independently at the journeyman level.
Computer Scientist / Journeyman Level
Analyze science, engineering, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software and techniques to improve data analysis.
System Analyst / Journeyman Level
Apply knowledge of analytical methodologies, management principles, hardware and software systems structures and operation, and aircraft systems or requirements to solve project problems. Independently use mathematical and supporting approaches to define, plan, organize, design, develop, modify, test, and integrate systems. Research unconventional applications for designing and developing new methodologies, modifications, or adaptations of standardized techniques. Develop project plans, guidelines, and controls. May manage and supervise contractor personnel. Support overall aircraft test planning and reporting as directed.

Salary
Projected salary range: $95,000 – $145,000. Salary will be determined based on experience and contractual requirements.
