Music Adjunct Faculty – Orchestra Director
Masters degree required. Professional industry experience may be considered.
Responsibilities
Serve as an adjunct faculty member for the Music program teaching one or more in‑person undergraduate music courses and/or lessons.
Orchestra Director: direct EMU Orchestra rehearsals on Tuesdays from 7‑8:30 pm, dress rehearsals and concerts, and liaise with community members to fill the orchestra ranks.
Position Details
Instructors must be able to teach in person. Travel reimbursement is available for instructors traveling from significant distances each way to campus. Faculty are contracted per course for the fall semester. Salary determined by education and experience.
Appointment Date
Fall courses begin September 1, 2026. EMU reserves the right to fill the position at any time or keep the position open.
