Job Overview
The Market Research & Insights Manager will play a key role in leveraging market research, consumer trends, and competitive intelligence to inform category strategy, go-to-market priorities, and portfolio growth initiatives across the US market. This individual will drive sell-out performance analysis, category insights, and portfolio strategy support, developing and maintaining sell-out dashboards, analysing performance drivers, and leading insights discussions in business reviews to translate data into actionable recommendations. The role will collaborate closely with Marketing, Brand, Commercial Strategy, and HQ teams to ensure insights are effectively applied to business decisions.

Job Responsibilities
Lead the setup and coordination of market research projects, defining objectives, methodology, and ensuring alignment with business priorities.
Lead the setup and execution of ad hoc market research projects (shopper and consumer studies).
Oversee ongoing management of syndicated research databases (Nielsen, Circana) to ensure data integrity and actionable insights.
Establish and continuously improve Consumer & Shopper Insight processes and ways of working (WoW) to ensure insight-driven decision-making across teams.
Act as the primary point of contact with HQ CMI, ensuring alignment on methodologies, research priorities, and data-sharing processes.
Develop and maintain comprehensive sell-out dashboards for internal stakeholders, ensuring monthly updates, data accuracy, and visibility of key performance metrics across channels.
Analyse sell-out performance drivers to identify trends, opportunities, and risks impacting brand and category growth across Retail and eRetail channels.
Define peer set and monitor competitor performance to inform strategic decision-making.
Continuously track consumer and category trends to shape long-term Category Vision and growth strategy.
Lead insights discussions during business reviews, translating analysis into actionable recommendations that inform portfolio strategy and commercial decision-making.
Craft compelling selling stories that articulate yearly priorities, key category trends, and 5Ps direction.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to translate insights into effective commercial strategies and execution plans.
Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, ideally in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics / Statistics, or a related field preferred
5-7 years of work experience in Strategy & Insights, Category Management or related fields
Ability understand and manipulate syndicated data such as Nielsen, Numerator, IRI, amazon marketshare
Strong understanding of sell-out analytics, category dynamics, and commercialization of insights into actionable plans
Ability to setup consumer & shopper research, interacting with agencies and managing main research tools
Strong proficiency in PPT, Excel
Strong project management skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work within an international matrixed environment
Previous experiences in Trade Marketing or Commercial Strategy are considered a strong plus
Previous experiences within coffee industry are a plus
Ability to travel as needed up to 33% of time
