Role Objective
The Visual Manager is a member of the store leadership team who is responsible for executing ALO’s visual and product strategy to maintain a customer‑ready store environment. The role requires constant movement in and around the store, both on the sales floor and in the back, and involves assisting guests, maintaining store cleanliness, safety, and operating efficiency.

Visual Manager Responsibilities

Oversee and support execution of key operational and visual processes.

Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor by leveraging business performance data.

Lead strategic product presentation and merchandising, including product recovery, restock, destock, and visual changes in accordance with general/store manager directives.

Plan visual floor changes through payroll management and adapt visual support to business needs.

Own visual direction from planning through execution to meet company expectations, budgets, and timelines.

Utilize reporting tools in partnership with management to identify business opportunities with product placement, outfitting, and stock levels, and make changes as necessary.

Business Leader Responsibilities

Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls with the general/store manager.

Review, monitor, and partner with the general manager to manage budget, reporting, and other business data, including metrics such as expenses and sell‑through, and inform planning processes.

Plan workflow for future business needs to protect optimal performance.

Flow Experience Leader Responsibilities

Oversee execution of deliverables on the sales floor, achieving KPIs while protecting operational efficiency and visual sets.

Collaborate and implement the general/store manager’s vision and work cross‑functionally with business partners to support organizational goals and visual and sales floor KPIs.

Demonstrate the ability to navigate the organization with a balance of business need and brand culture.

People Leader Responsibilities

Ensure the visual team reflects ALO’s mission and guiding principles to effectively communicate to guests who we are, what we do, and why we do it.

Lead a team through accountability, continuous coaching, talent development, and effective communication throughout operations and visual teams.

Establish internal and external pipeline through succession planning and recruitment strategy.

Qualifications

3–5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Agile with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment.

Independent work ethic, time‑management skills, and personal accountability.

Alignment with and embodiment of ALO’s guiding principles.

Requires constant movement in and around all areas of the store.

Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.

Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder.

Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.

Schedule
Full‑time employees are expected to be available for variable shifts, including peak days and weekends. All employees must be willing to work during the company’s blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving through the first week of January.

Compensation
The Visual Manager base pay ranges from $33.00 to $37.00 per hour. Visual Managers are eligible to participate in the company’s monthly store incentive bonus program, which may increase total compensation.
