Description
DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to support onsite operations in Bethesda, MD. The role involves developing high‑quality digital media, graphics, cartography, and multimedia products that support engaging, user‑friendly communication initiatives. Candidates must have experience in front‑end web design, UI/UX, HTML/CSS, photography, video editing, and creating digital content such as web pages, newsletters, infographics, banners, and logos. Compliance with accessibility and production standards is required. The position requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and experience mentoring junior staff and conducting technical quality checks.

Responsibilities

Develop graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products

Use request‑management tools to provide swift, high‑quality customer support for communication requests

Coordinate with UI/UX designer in Knowledge Management to ensure graphics provide an engaging user‑friendly experience

Create graphic designs for written and digital products

Develop design concepts and implement designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other digital content for online presentation

Ensure products conform to all production standards, copyright laws, accessibility compliance, and public‑release clearances

Conduct technical quality checks

Manage an approved concept and build in HTML/CSS to comply with responsive‑design principles

Provide cartography support for thematic and reference maps as needed

Requirements

BA/BS degree and 3 years of experience, or no degree and 9 years of experience

TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance

Experience leading the development of graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products

Front‑end web design, UI/UX, HTML/CSS skills

Photography and video‑editing experience

Mentoring and training junior staff

Creating graphics that provide an engaging, user‑friendly experience

Developing design concepts and implementing designs for web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other online content

Ensuring products meet production standards, copyright laws, accessibility compliance, and public‑release clearances

Conducting technical quality checks

Salary Range
$110,000 – $140,000 per year. This range is a general guideline and may vary based on responsibilities, experience, and other factors.
